TEHRAN (IQNA) – Abdullah Ammar Mohamed al-Sayed is a visually-impaired Egyptian student who managed to learn the entire Quran by heart in just three months.

Abdullah lives in a village named Tal al-Jarad in the country’s Sharqiya Governorate, according to Youm7 website.

In 2014, at the age of eight, he began memorizing the Quran with local Quran master Mohamed Hassan Alwan.

It took him 100 days to commit the entire Quran to memory and later he received permission for reciting the Quran with the ten styles of recitation.

Abdullah has even memorized the number of verses in Surahs, and the Juz (part of the Quran) and the number of the page where each verse is.

He can also translate all of the verses into English and French.

The teenager has won top ranks in many local, national and international Quran competitions. In 2018, he won the international Quran memorization contest held in his country.

He has twice been honored by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi for his Quran achievements.

Egyptian Awqaf (Endowment) Minister Mohammed Mokhtar Gomaa once invited Abdullah to his office and was surprised by his Quranic talents.
